With the Ashfield circuit already saturated by several days of persistent rain, and with more heavy rain forecast throughout today, an early decision has been taken to call off this afternoon’s League Cup clash with Workington Comets.
A restaging date has quickly been agreed for 18th May, originally scheduled to be the Premier League fixture between the sides.
We will try again next Sunday when we welcome Berwick to Ashfield in League Cup action.
