Supporters Group

Glasgow Tigers Supporters’ Group (GTSG) is run by fans with official endorsement from Glasgow Tigers Speedway owners and promotors. We also run the Growlers Club for young fans aged 5 to 16 years.

GTSG raise funds from the 100 Club, membership fees and our two Winter Events. All funds are used to support the Club and riders. GTSG provide the annual trophies for the Home Rider of the Year, Away Rider of the Year and Rider with the most bonus points. We present the Svein Kaasa Memorial trophy at the meeting closest to the anniversary of Svein’s fatal crash. We provide Scottish gift bags for the riders when Ashfield hosts a test match or national event.

We arrange events off-season and arrange travel to away meetings and the British GP at Cardiff.

All fans are welcome to join the group. Annual membership cost is £5 for Adults and £1 for under 16s. Membership forms can be obtained from the GTSG stand. This can be found at the start of the home terracing, just along from the Tigers Den, or a form can be downloaded on the link below.

GROWLERS CLUB

The Growlers Club will enjoy its 16th season in 2024. We invite our young fans aged 5 to 16 years to join us. Members have access to exclusive activities at Ashfield, including photo shoots with the riders and behind-the-scenes events such as track walks and a visit to the referee’s box. Members receive a copy of the Growlers newsletter throughout the season and birthday and Christmas cards signed by the team.

Annual membership cost is £5. Membership forms can be obtained from the GTSG stand or the Growlers leaders. Growlers Club can be contacted at growlersclub@hotmail.co.uk

100 CLUB

GTSG administer the monthly 100 Club. Members pay a monthly fee of £5 and are entered into the monthly draw. 50% of the funds raised each month are paid to the winning number with the remaining 50% being used for donations to the promotion. The 100 Club is our main source of funds and we are very grateful to our existing members for their continued support. Please join us if you can and help us to help the Club.

HOW DO I SUBSCRIBE?

A GTSG 100 Club Application Pack is available from the GTSG stand at Ashfield on match days or speak to any GTSG committee member or email us at the.gtsg@gmail.com. Applications should be returned to the GTSG, either by visiting our stand or to a committee member or by post. Standing order requests should be handed to your bank. Standing orders can also be created via online banking using the details on the form.

GTSG EVENTS

GTSG hold two events each winter where invited guests chat about their life in Speedway. There is a raffle and an auction of Speedway items.

Our current venue is the Alan Rough Suite at Firhill Stadium. Details are published on social media and the Club website.

• Juniors (16 and under) – £1
• Under 5s – Free

Junior members can also enjoy membership of Growlers Club by completing a Growlers Club membership form.
