Ace Pijper insists he feels no extra pressure making his Championship debut with Glasgow.
The 16-year-old is just a fortnight away from his first senior races with the Allied Vehicles Tigers.
Pijper has recovered from a big crash in France, sustaining concussion, and is clearly ready to go at Ashfield.
He said: “I always feel that Glasgow is my own back garden. I don’t feel any extra pressure. I’ve just been told to enjoy my racing and see what happens.
“For me to be in the Championship is a big deal and being at Glasgow makes it 10 times better. It’s a great club and everyone wants me to be successful.
“I’m getting better now after the crash. I’ve still got a sore knee but that doesn’t matter now. I was due to ride at a practice at the British Speedway Network practice so I’m all good.
“I think we have a really strong team and we will all get on great. Hopefully, we can use the youth and experience at reserve with me and Lee Complin to our advantage.”
