GLASGOW can go top of the league with a win or draw at Somerset tomorrow.
The Tigers have collected at least a point in all 10 of their Championship meetings so far and sit just one off top side Leicester with four meetings in hand.
The Rebels are in third and have brought in former Tiger Nick Morris to complete a strong top end – though they’ve brought in a pair of two-point riders to balance out that addition.
Glasgow manager Cami Brown says expectations won’t drop despite his side already being well on their way to making the play-offs.
However, they’ll have to do it without Paul Starke after he suffered a wrist injury during a crash in last night’s British Final in Manchester – with rider replacement in operation.
Brown said: “I’ve said it many times this season – no longer do Glasgow Speedway go away from home expecting to lose, we never will, not with the Facennas at this club and not when I’m manager here.
“It’s another difficult away match but we do have meetings in hand over them.
“Somerset have strengthened up so that will be extremely difficult, but it’s a track that our guys ride pretty well so we’ll go there trying to pick something up.
“If we can add to the points we picked up at Scunthorpe on Sunday, we will be sitting in a really strong position towards the top of the league.”
