GLASGOW will take a 12-point lead into the second leg of their Championship play-off semi-final first leg.
The Tigers managed to shake off a stubborn Somerset Rebels side to pull ahead in the latter stages of tonight’s meeting at the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium.
After a meeting with not much in it, the talismanic duo of Craig Cook and Ramsus Jensen helped the home team open up a gap they’ll be pleased to take to the Oaktree Arena, with 5-1s in hears 13 and 15, for a 51-39 scoreline.
Jensen was beaten just once by an opponent, while the likes of Kyle Bickley and Claus Vissig chipped in with important wins to help set up an exciting second leg.
The winners will face either Leicester or Redcar, who race in the other semi-final later this week.
