With little over a week to go now until our very special final fixture of the season, we can now confirm some further details.
The meeting will be a Glasgow Tigers Select Vs Rest of the World Select, raced over a 15 heat format.
We have previously announced Josh Grajczonek, Craig Cook and Nick Morris will be riding on the day. Other riders confirmed, and keen to honour James Grieves by taking part in Glasgow Speedway’s farewell to our club legend, now include Tigers guests this season Theo Pijper and Ricky Wells, as well as Matthew Wethers, Derek Sneddon, Joe Jacobs and Andrew Tully.
Given James’ declared interest in helping develop young speedway talent, the line-ups will also feature local lads James McBain and Ryan McDonald, as well as up and coming Northern talent Liam Carr.
With Steve Lawson also returning to track and rolling back the years, and with some other surprises planned, the afternoon is a must for all speedway fans and a fitting way to pay respect to a Tigers stalwart.
Admission prices for this meeting have been set at £15 adults, £10 Concession (OAP/Students), £5 Child 10-15, £1 Under 10 (NB no family tickets will be available, season tickets are invalid)
Remember too, the clock’s go back next weekend with racing starting at 2:30pm.
