GLASGOW are now just a point off the top of the Championship after another win on the road tonight.
The Tigers were 46-44 winners at Scunthorpe after fighting back from being six points down, taking three league points up the road.
It was a true team performance with all seven riders contributing to the score with Rasmus Jensen and Claus Vissing leading the way for the visitors.
From 10 meetings the Tigers now have 29 points – and have four matches in hand over top side Leicester.
They can add to their tally further when they visit Somerset on Wednesday.
Manager Cami Brown said: “We never threw the towel in and kept chipping away at it. I thought we were magnificent.
“Rasmus was magnificent tonight and we won without Craig Cook getting his usual 14 or 15 points. That’s the really pleasing aspect as a team – it proves we’re not just about one man. Everybody chipped in tonight and that’s the difference.
“I also thought Claus was really good. It would have been quite easy to pick him for heat 15 but I decided to go with the experience of Craig along with Rasmus. But he was superb and one of the reasons we won was him getting a brilliant 5-1 with Kyle.
“It puts us in a very strong position in the table. We want to finish in that top spot and it’s in our hands.
“We have slightly less pressure for Wednesday’s trip to Somerset but we still want to go there and get a result.
“In the management team we are disappointed we didn’t go to Leicester last night because we were on a high from Friday but it’s all ifs and buts and you can’t do anything about the weather.”
