Tigers roar back to take lead in cup semi

GLASGOW roared back from a six-point deficit to take a narrow lead in their Championship Shield semi-final tonight.

Craig Cook produced heroics once again with a 15-point maximum and equalled the track record – despite racing with a broken wrist – to lead his side to a 47-43 win in the first leg at Ashfield.

Reserve Kyle Bickley was the catalyst for the Tigers’ comeback as he passed both Eagles in heat 12 to join Claus Vissing for a 5-1 – before a couple of 4-2s pulled the home side ahead.

Cook and Rasmus Jensen then had a battle royale with former Tiger Richard Lawson in heat 15 with the Ashfield skipper battling to the front to secure a four-point lead going into the second leg.

Glasgow will now hope for a repeat of their victory at Eastbourne earlier this season to allow them to progress to the final.
