Tigers Launch Sports Dinner Fund Raiser

Glasgow Speedway is proud to present… an evening of fine dining, entertainment and laughter amongst friends.

We are delighted to announce that the club will stage a Sports Dinner Fund Raiser event at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel on Saturday the 31st of August (7pm to midnight).

Funds raised on the night will contribute towards the total cost of purchase, and installation, of a protective barrier for season 2014 – estimated to be between £15k to £20k – as mandatory and conditional for all Premier League clubs next season.

By way of appealing to the speedway-minded community, as well as those less so, we have ensured that the evening will have something for everyone. In addition to spending an evening in the ultra-comfortable surroundings of this top city centre hotel, with complimentary drink upon arrival and an excellent three course meal to savour, we have also secured some first class entertainment to make sure the evening is enjoyable to the maximum!

Guests will be thoroughly engrossed and entertained by a behind-the-scenes look at speedway and football – both very different sporting worlds – which will ensure some intriguing, insightful and highly amusing tales to amaze and astound!

We are excited to announce that sharing those highly entertaining and amusing tales, in after dinner presentational style, are none other than:

From the world of speedway, current Wolverhampton and former England team boss Peter Adams, who has led three separate first division clubs to repeated league title and cup-winning successes, as well as having mentored some of the sport’s biggest names, and from the world of football, former Scotland first team coach and manager of several top flight clubs on each side of the border, Craig Brown.

Our sincere thanks and appreciation go to both guests for their willingness to directly support Glasgow Speedway through their attendance and active participation at this event. We will also be further entertained on the night by the side-splitting contribution of a professional comedian.

Tickets for the event are priced at £45 with a preference, from an organisational perspective, to sell these in tables of ten. With demand expected to be high, we would urge that you act quickly to secure a full table for yourself, family and friends (to a total / multiple of ten).

If you would like to nominate yourself as an agent to secure your table (or tables), and in doing so secure places for a group of friends / fellow supporters, then in the first instance please email info@glasgowtigers.co to register and receive further details. Alternatively, please speak to any member of the club’s management team on Sunday. Dress code for the event is smart but casual (no denims, club colours or trainers please).

We guarantee a superb night of quality entertainment, in a comfortable environment and amongst friends.

Thank you in advance for your support of this.
