GLASGOW Tigers subjected Berwick Bandits to a mauling on their own patch tonight – as two of the visiting men went unbeaten in a stunning display.
Rene Bach bagged a paid 15-point maximum while Richie Worrall got paid 12 as Glasgow took four Premier League points in the 58-31 win.
Richard Lawson just missed out on his own full-house when he was beaten into second in the final race.
Reserve Nike Lunna impressed on his first meeting back from injury with paid nine and Coty Garcia got five on his former track.
However, Glasgow did suffer a setback through Danny Ayres – who suffered concussion in a heat eight crash and will now miss Glasgow’s trip to Redcar tomorrow and visit from Edinburgh on Sunday.
Worrall said: “There was talk of that being the biggest away win of the year in the league.
“Berwick have a strong side when they’re all firing. I don’t know what happened to them tonight – but I think Glasgow as a team, it was the first time I felt we all came together as one.
“Some guys were having problems with their bikes but everyone was there, and it was brilliant to be a part of.
“Hopefully that charisma stays within the team and we take it everywhere we go because I think we’ll be untouchable if we can keep that passion we all had tonight.
“I can’t explain what it was – everyone sensed it – and look at the damage we did on the track.”
It was a 5-1 from Worrall and Bach in heat 10 that stopped Kevin Doolan on a tactical ride and killed off any Bandits comeback.
Worrall added: “I’m confident that I can look over my shoulder and see Rene there. When he says before a race, have a look for me, I know he’s going to be there.
“We’re the engine room.”
Team boss Stewart Dickson said: “We had an extremely good night, although we were fortunate as Berwick had made their new signing and I think it weakened them.
“It was everything we wanted from a performance. The four biggies did the business and Nike Lunna was the punch at the bottom end that we’ve been missing.
“Rene Bach looked to have a good set-up tonight and his pass on Kevin Doolan was sensational – hopefully it’s the first of many maximums for the club.
“The only down side is that Danny will be out for a week or so as he got a sore one.
“But it’s a fantastic four points and it was great for the fans – we had a great support there and they’re away home happy.
“It’s the time of the season where we need away wins – we’ve got one tonight and we know what we’ve got to do tomorrow.”
