Glasgow Speedway is delighted to announce that it has secured new team sponsorship for 2014 with highly successful, locally based, Allied Vehicles Ltd.
One of the biggest employers in the North of the City, Allied Vehicles have agreed to return as main club sponsors having previously partnered the club early into our Ashfield tenure.
Allied co-chairman, and Ashfield regular, Gerry Facenna (pictured with fellow co-chairman, and brother Michael Facenna) expressed his delight in again linking up with the Tigers in 2014:
“Speedway has a long tradition in Glasgow and offers superb family entertainment.
“Allied Vehicles is very much a Glasgow business, employing more than 460 people on the Tigers’ doorstep. My brother Michael and I, who own the company, also grew up in the area. It’s great now to be in a position to give something back to an important community asset which is also a great advert for Glasgow.
“I remember going to speedway as a boy. Now I’ve been back with my kids and grandkids and we all enjoyed an action-packed Sunday afternoon.”
Whilst the partnership with Allied Vehicles has only recently been formed, all at the club are already enthused by the companies keenness and drive to quickly get involved. Tigers co-promoter Colin Hamilton:
“The management and promotion are delighted to attract Gerry and his staff as team sponsors, Allied are a well known company and brand, and a very important part of the business infrastructure in the North of the City.
“We’re working hard to improve the financial stability of the club and this new partnership is a huge step in the right direction. Gerry knows his speedway and shows a great passion for the Tigers which can only be a positive thing.”
It will therefore be the Glasgow ‘Allied Vehicles’ Tigers who will take to the track for the 2014 Premier League campaign at the end of this month with Gerry Facenna, very much a Tigers fan, ultra keen that Tigers fans everywhere rally behind the new look team and turn out in numbers:

It would be great for Glasgow to have another really successful sports team and I hope as many people as possible will come along to roar the Tigers on against our arch-rivals, the Edinburgh Monarchs, on 30th March.
