Thomsen Joins the Panthers

Tigers asset Anders Thomsen has signed for Peterborough until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old Dane has replaced the retired Lewis Blackbird in the Panthers side – opening up the possibility that he could face Glasgow in the Premier League play-offs.

Thomsen began his UK career when joining the Tigers half-way through the 2013 season and went on to show he was capable of high double-figure scores around Ashfield.

He started last season at reserve for the club but left in July as he struggled to reproduce those kinds of performances.

However, Thomsen has caught the eye on the international stage this season – he is currently third in the World Under-21 Championship and was named as a track reserve for the recent Danish Grand Prix in Horsens.

He joins the Panthers on a 5.68 average in a loan deal from Glasgow.
