At last, and following weeks of discussions, Glasgow Speedway are exceedingly pleased to confirm the arrival as a Glasgow rider of AARON SUMMERS.
A deal was struck this week, for an undisclosed fee, with parent club Redcar which now sees the 26 year-old Australian born racer become a Glasgow club asset with immediate effect on a full transfer basis, completing our 2015 line-up*.
Relieved at the conclusion of the deal, Tigers co-promoter Alan Dick couldn’t disguise his satisfaction:
“I must say that we are absolutely delighted to complete the team with a rider of the quality of Aaron Summers, and be able to strike a deal at a price which suited.
Aaron is an experienced, yet still young rider, having been around the UK scene for a while now. He will certainly help to spearhead our new look team this season both home and away, and Glasgow Speedway can only benefit from what he brings to the side.
The negotiations to do a deal have been in progress for quite a while, however we’re there now and we’ve completed a good bit of business as far as this club is concerned.”
Aaron lines-up in the 2015 Tigers team with a starting 7.78 average.
