Glasgow will be at full strength for their Premier League trips to Sheffield and Plymouth this week.The Tigers travel to face their Yorkshire counterparts tomorrow in what is only their second away league meeting of the season before visiting the south coast on Friday.
James Sarjeant, himself based in Sheffield, returns at reserve after missing the trip to Newcastle last month. The 21-year-old should make eight of Glasgow’s nine meetings in June and team manager Stewart Dickson believes his presence will be vital.
Dickson said: “James is available for all of them, apart from Scunthorpe away. If the other three away meetings are on before that – Sheffield, Plymouth and Edinburgh – he will get his average.
“I think he’ll level out with 5.5 or six points, thus giving us a 5.5 or six-point guest when we go to Scunthorpe on June 19.
“Hopefully they’ll all be on and we can get proper cover for him, because he’s the best three-pointer out there.
“If he does get that average, it’ll mean Dimitri Berge dropping down to reserve, so either way I think we still win there.”
Berge will ride at No 2 on Thursday with Kozza Smith switching to 4.
Sheffield, still without injured No 1 Simon Stead, will use Somerset’s Brady Kurtz as a guest. David Bellego, a 2011 title winner with Glasgow, also returns to their side to replace Ty Proctor.
The two sides will meet again shortly as they’ve been drawn together in the semi-finals of the League Cup.
On Friday, Smith switches to No 2, Berge is at 3 and Richard Lawson at 4, with captain Aaron Summers riding at 5.
