Sam and Sedgmen Added to Aus-some Line-up

peugeotEdinburgh duo Sam Masters and Justin Sedgmen have been added to the line-up for the Peugeot International Speedway Championship – making it four Australians from four so far.

The Monarchs pair are certain to bring a big following from the east when they compete for their share of the £10,000 prize fund on Sunday, August 16.

Both riders are no strangers to taking titles – they were part of the Monarchs’ sensational 2014 season where they took virtually all before them.

Masters, 24, in particular is hot property in speedway circles – he was the 2011 Premier League Riders’ Champion and won last year’s Premier League Pairs with Max Fricke. He doubles up with Leicester in the Elite League this year, but is currently out with a hand injury – which he’s expected to recover from in time to take his place in the meeting.

Meanwhile Sedgmen, 23, has been a key figure in the Monarchs’ success since he joined them at the start of last year – having previously starred for Swindon and Lakeside in the top flight. He’s currently averaging more than 10 points a meeting in Edinburgh’s home meetings.

They both join Nick Morris and Josh Grajczonek in representing Australia at the event – with 12 more riders still to be announced in the coming weeks.
