ROARING reserve Coty Garcia believes Glasgow’s team spirit can see them through their biggest weekend of the season.
The Tigers could book their place in two cup finals when they face Somerset and Workington in the League Cup and KO Cup.
Garcia hit nine points on Sunday against the Comets to help put them in command in their League Cup semi-final – and the Argentinian says morale in the camp is high.
He said: “I cannot wait for the weekend. It’s one of the best feelings to have a winning team – and everyone is enjoying themselves every single meeting. Whenever someone has a bad race or a crash, everyone is there to help.
“It’s a really exciting time. I have my two good engines back so I will be training throughout this week and trying to get the set-ups right for Somerset.
“I know that I like Workington but I need to do really well at Somerset – that could make the difference. I must take the chance and score more points.”
The Tigers ran out 64-25 in the first leg against Workington, and Garcia wants to see a repeat on Saturday.
He said: “I’m happy because with this we are almost 100% sure we will go to the final. You never know what will happen in a meeting but we must go there and hammer them again.
“I had spent all week trying different lines on the track before Sunday, and I couldn’t use what I was practising because it was wet. But my set-up was almost perfect.”
Glasgow go to Somerset in the KO Cup semi-final first leg on Friday before the return fixture on Sunday at 3pm, with the League Cup semi-final second leg sandwiched in between.
