The Premier League Fours at Peterborough today was abandoned after a horrific crash involving Newcastle’s Lewis Kerr in the latter stages of the meeting.
Glasgow failed to qualify for the finals of the event after scoring only six points, but the thoughts of everyone in the speedway world immediately turned to Kerr after the incident in heat three of the second half.
He was airlifted to hospital after receiving lengthy treatment at the track, and updates are being provided on the official BSPA website.
The Tigers now face Plymouth at home in the Premier League tomorrow at 7.30pm.
