Glasgow Speedway are delighted to announce the appointments, with immediate effect, of two life long and exceptionally well known Tigers supporters to the club’s board of directors.
Joining the existing directors, and now supporting all the planning activities in the lead in to the new season are each of Cami Brown and George Barclay. Both men have joined forces with the club and have already provided critical support which has helped the Tigers towards being able to declare intent to run in 2014.
Long time club and rider sponsor Cami Brown (owner of Alexander Brown & Co Plumbers Merchants) is delighted to have stepped up his involvment with the club:
“It is a long standing dream to be involved with Glasgow speedway, it has always been something very close to my heart and I hope I can contribute to helping to get the Tigers back where we belong”
George Barclay, one of the most recognisable Tigers fans around the speedway network, is equally delighted to contribute to the running of the club:
“I look forward to working with my fellow directors in bringing some stability to the club and hope to build a strong relationship with the supporters – without them we don’t have a club”
In other news on the back of the Tigers announcing they will come to tapes for the new season, and with Christmas just around the corner, the club is pleased to now place on offer 2014 Season Tickets with all prices held at last season’s level. With a guaranteed minimum of 20 home meetings we believe that these offer good value, and even better value should we progress in KOC and/or play-off competitions.
