NIKE Lunna has suffered a setback in his bid to be fit for the forthcoming Scottish derbies after undergoing an operation on his hand today.
The Finnish 19-year-old rode five meetings with a broken bone before having the injury diagnosed ahead of Glasgow’s three matches in four days last week.
He was set to be out for two to three weeks at that stage, but now could face a further few weeks on the sidelines as he recovers from today’s treatment.
It means he may miss out on the Tigers’ return to track next Friday at Armadale and the following Wednesday at the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium, which is live on Sky Sports.
The club wishes Nike well and will provide further updates on his likely return date as and when they are available.
Team news for Armadale will be confirmed in the coming days.
