Kauko Nieminen looks set to miss the Premier League play-off final after suffering a collarbone injury in Sunday’s defeat of Somerset.
The popular Finn, 36, came to grief in heat five as he tried to pass the Rebels’ Paul Starke from the back.
He was initially thought to be OK but later pulled out of the meeting – with what’s believed to be a recurrence of the broken collarbone that forced him to sit out more than six weeks of the season.
Nemo had only made his return to racing two weeks ago in the League Cup final defeat against Edinburgh, having signed for the Tigers at the end of July.
Tigers chief Stewart Dickson said: “He is extremely doubtful. We think the collarbone has gone again, unfortunately, which is the only sour note of yesterday’s meeting.
“It’s a shame. It just hasn’t really happened for him. I feel sorry for him and for us, because we all worked hard to get him here.”
It’s yet to be confirmed how Glasgow will fill in for Nieminen’s absence on Friday and Saturday.
