Morris Set for World Cup Debut

GlasgowGlasgow v Edinburgh 19.04.15 Tigers No 1 Nick Morris was today named in Australia’s line-up for this summer’s Speedway World Cup.

The 20-year-old – who began his British career at Ashfield aged 16 – is in Mark Lemon’s team along with Grand Prix trio Chris Holder, Troy Batchelor and Jason Doyle.

He will feature in event two of the competition at King’s Lynn on June 8 when he will face Great Britain, the United States and Latvia.

Morris has been in terrific form for the Tigers and Elite League club Swindon this season – top scoring for Glasgow at Newcastle last night with 14 points.

He features for the Robins live on Sky Sports tonight when they face the Coventry Bees – and he’ll race at No 1 in the top-flight contest.
