Glasgow’s Richard Lawson has joined fellow top Premier League stars Rohan Tungate and Richie Worrall in a stellar line-up for this month’s Peugeot International Speedway Championship.
And the Tigers No 5 has revealed his enthusiasm for the event, which has a £10,000 prize fund.
Lawson, 29, said: “I’m really excited – it should be a good event.
“I’ve heard a few of the names that have been announced, so it’s looking like it’s going to be a good line-up and it should be a good day.
“It’s always different being an individual – you’re used to riding with team-mates. I really want to win it.
“I’ve got a couple of things I want to try on the bike too. I’m obviously still going to give it my all but I’ve got a few things I want to test under race conditions.”
Just two more names remain to be announced for the August 16 meeting at the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium.
