Fricke and Kurtz to line up for Aussies

FORMER Edinburgh favourite Max Fricke and Poole star Brady Kurtz have been added to the Australia line-up for Saturday’s test match against Great Britain in Glasgow.

Fricke, 22 – a former World U21 Champion – started his UK career with the Monarchs and rose quickly through the ranks, now plying his trade with Belle Vue in the Premiership and racing elsewhere in Europe.

He represented his country in June’s Speedway of Nations alongside World Champion Jason Doyle.

Kurtz, 21, made his first foray into British speedway with Somerset and his huge potential saw him snapped up by the Pirates in Dorset, where he went on to become their No 1.

The pair join 2012 World Champion Chris Holder and Doyle – pending his fitness – in the team, with the rest of the side expected to be confirmed shortly.

The meeting takes place at 3pm on Saturday. Tickets can be booked here.
