CAMMY Brown hopes the togetherness Glasgow have shown at home this season will help them build up a big lead in their Championship play-off semi-final.
The Tigers host Somerset Rebels tomorrow, in what is now the first leg, after last night’s planned fixture in the south-west of England was postponed.
The clubs will meet in Highbridge next Wednesday – when Brown’s side will hope to be racing with a sizeable gap between them and their opponents.
Brown feels the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium has been a special place this season and believes it can be key in tomorrow’s fixture.
He said: “I think the fans backing the teams, the team backing the fans, the whole club – it’s different to what it was last season. We were together, but the saying is, ‘we are Glasgow’ – and I really feel that we are Glasgow as a club.
“It would be fantastic to give those wonderful fans another trophy. It’s my dream to be involved with getting a league title for the Glasgow Tigers and the Facenna family, who have put so much into this club.
“I think we’ve created quite a happy place this season in the pits and in the stadium, and I think that reflects in the results we’ve had, we just need a slice of luck in the semis to make the final and anything can happen then.”
Both sides are at full strength, with Craig Cook and Rasmus Jensen returning to home shale for the first time since their Championship Pairs victory last week.
