Cup Countdown

[evp_embed_video url=’/videos14/Workington_PL2_02.mp4′]

Only four days to go now until the Allied Vehicles Tigers’ will take to track with a mission to produce their best performance of the season if we are to overturn a 16 point Knock Out Cup deficit to Newcastle.

Having disposed of Rye House in the first round way back in June, this Sunday’s Ashfield action will at last conclude the clubs’ quarter-final tie which has previously been rain affected and overtaken by the focus on league activity during August and September.

With Kasper, Victor and Tero all due to make their way to Glasgow following overseas meetings on Saturday, Tigers will hope to put the Diamonds’ under early pressure as we look to chip away at taking an aggregate win and keep the cup dream alive.

Tigers will reshuffle the riding order for Sunday with latest averages now effective meaning that Theo will wear the No.1 race jacket, with Victor dropping to reserve alongside Kasper.

Please remember that start time on Sunday will again be 5pm (gates open at 4pm)– let’s look forward to plenty more action, just like the heat featured above (*courtesy of First Bend Action Videos), with Tigers on the ascendency.

A further reminder too that this year’s End-of-Season Dinner/Dance occasion is now fast approaching (Saturday, 18th October), however with some seats still available please now make a point of quickly contacting the Supporters Club to secure your place alongside the riders; please email gtssc@hotmail.co.uk or make a point of speaking to their committee members as you enter the stadium on Sunday.
