Coty Garcia says he’s determined to be a “real Tiger” after joining Glasgow for 2016.
The 21-year-old Argentinian will start the new campaign at reserve after joining on loan from Berwick.
He spent half of last season with the Bandits, dropping down to a three-point average after joining them on an assessed five points.
However, as he spends the close season in his home country – where the summer sun is shining brightly – he’s working on coming back bigger and stronger than before.
The stylish racer said: “I feel really excited about this opportunity and spending next season with the Tigers. I’m really happy.
“I wanted to join Glasgow because I really like the track, the fans and the atmosphere there. It’s exciting to see how the promotion works and everything at the stadium is amazing too.
“It’s hard to race on the Glasgow track but once you’ve ridden there once, you learn about the lines and it’s really nice to ride near the fence.
“I hope all of the fans like how I ride – I’ll need their support next season.”
Garcia arrived at Berwick in June and took time to get settled into the UK. He says that he found it difficult on the equipment he had but it was a great learning ground for a young rider.
With that experience now in his locker, he’s determined to make a name for himself in his second season on these shores.
Coty concluded: “My ambition for 2016 is to be faster than ever with my bikes. I hope to be more than just a reserve and I want to show that I’m better than my first season.
“I’m training hard with the bikes and working on psychology too. I want to be a real Tiger and for that I need to go harder than ever.”
