CAMI Brown says he’ll look to Glasgow’s heatleaders to inspire their team-mates as they go into a “massive” match at Ipswich tomorrow (Thursday).
Nathan Graves returns to the line-up to put them at full strength for the visit to Foxhall, where they’ll take on a team with designs on the same play-off spots as the Tigers.
Glasgow romped to four points at Newcastle last time out, lead by a maximum from Craig Cook and 10+3 from in-form Chris Harris – and Tigers boss Brown hopes they can show the way at Foxhall before the sides clash again at Ashfield on Friday.
“The guys did magnificently at Newcastle and I was really chuffed,” he said.
“It was about time we got a result away from home because we’ve been so close before and we’ve been unlucky in some of them.
“With James Sarjeant riding the way he is now we would’ve won one or two matches by a country mile.
“But there’s no point in looking back on those, we’ve got to look forward. Ipswich is huge for us and we’ve got to try to get something – four points from the two matches is the minimum we’d be looking for.
“We need to win the home match and get at least a point away – but anything more would be fantastic.
“Craig Cook likes the track and Chris Harris likes it – and hopefully they can pass on the message to the rest of the guys to do the business.”
The Tigers go into the meeting in third place on 27 points in the SGB Championship, five behind Lakeside and six behind Peterborough. Ipswich are in fifth on 23 with a meeting in hand.
The race for the top four is getting tight, with Edinburgh, Workington and Berwick all still harbouring hopes of making it.
