CAMI Brown insists his riders are up for the fight to become Championship winners.
The Tigers have gone through their toughest spell of the season with four defeats on the bounce – including one at home last week.
That followed a run of five wins, two of them on the road.
But the Glasgow team boss says his side are not ready to let top spot in the league slip away from them easily – and with it the pick of the opponents in the play-offs – with their five matches in hand over leaders Leicester providing enough opportunity to make up the 14-point gap.
Brown believes the Tigers have the battling qualities to bounce back with big performances home and away against Berwick this weekend.
He said: “I wouldn’t be this club’s manager if I thought we gave up easily. We are Glasgow and we race every meeting with the intention, and the expectation, that we will challenge for points.
“We had a meeting in the dressing room after Saturday’s defeat to Scunthorpe and we turned that negative into a positive. The overwhelming message was that we will never give in.
“The riders are absolutely up for the fight and if we can secure our place in the play-offs, we will be ready to go toe-to-toe with whoever we face. We have had some good results against our potential opponents and, while we will show everyone the respect they deserve, we fear nobody.
“There are no guarantees in speedway, but what I intend to show tomorrow against Berwick is that we are the force to be reckoned with that we have been for most of this season.
“We want to do that on and off the track. Our message to the fans would be: let’s show the rest of the league that Glasgow are back, and back us all the way to the top four and the chance to bring some silverware to the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium.”
Tapes up is at 7.30pm.
