There is lots for us all to look forward to at Ashfield this Sunday afternoon as the Western Commercial Tigers head home to face up to a strong Workington Comets side, the club who, above all others, have possibly enjoyed most success in Glasgow during the Ashfield era.
Whilst the home side will be lining up on the back of a long road trip from Plymouth and Leicester, there is an overarching determination in the team to begin to put right the disappointments of a fortnight ago.
The Comets are bringing with them a healthy number of vociferous and passionate supporters, perhaps sensing an opportunity to return to Derwent Park with some league points.
Both sides will be operating Rider Replacement, with Tigers expecting to see an improved points return throughout the side aided by guest Ashley Birks.

We believe this will be a close and competitive meeting, and one which we are capable of winning.
Whilst the action on Sunday promises to be hot both on and off track, there is further interest in a couple of announcements which will be made.
First off we will update supporters in respect of the very latest team news as we close in on bringing a new rider to the team. It is possible that we may even be able to announce the riders identity (or better) on Sunday afternoon, however there is yet a possibility that we may have to first await Management Committee ratification in the early part of next week.
We understand that everyone is anxious to learn who our new rider is, and promise to share with you whatever we can on Sunday.
We will also be announcing details of our next exciting Ashfield fixture on the 16th which will serve a highly useful purpose for the club – more on that on Sunday.
