FORMER Glasgow starlet Mitchell Davey has been called up at reserve for the Tigers for tonight’s KO Cup final first leg at Newcastle.

The Australian, who began his British career at Ashfield, steps in for Coty Garcia – whose season is over after a heavy spill in Thursday’s match against Sheffield in which he suffered a leg injury.

Meanwhile, Davey’s countryman Arthur Sissis will ride for the Tigers in the second leg tomorrow at the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium.

Sissis bagged double figures for parent club Sheffield as they knocked Glasgow out of the Premier League play-offs.

Tonight’s match gets under way at 6.30pm with tapes up at 7.30pm tomorrow.
