GLASGOW have been chosen to face Sheffield in the semi-finals of the SGB Championship playoffs.
The two Tigers will go head-to-head over two legs, starting at Owlerton on Thursday and concluding next Tuesday at the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium.
The Scottish Tigers might be seen as soft touches given their recent slump in form – which has seen them lose three home meetings in just two weeks – and following a run of injuries.
However, it means they’ll go into the meeting as underdogs, which could help take the pressure off.
In addition, Stewart Dickson hopes to be able to welcome Dan Bewley and Jack Smith back to action for the meetings – which would undoubtedly give the team a huge boost.
Glasgow went close to winning at Sheffield earlier this season, and also beat their Yorkshire rivals by 55-37 at home in July – form they’ll be looking to recover this time around.
The most recent meetings between the sides saw Sheffield run out convincing winners at both tracks.
