All Eyes on Tuesday

Attention has turned to Tuesday and one of the biggest nights in Glasgow Tigers’ history after the club’s meeting today was rained off.

The decision was taken just after 2pm to postpone the Premier League clash between the Tigers and Plymouth at the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium.

Rain overnight and this morning had affected the circuit, but the club were hopeful of pushing ahead with the match as it dried up during the afternoon. However, with rider safety in mind, meeting referee Jim McGregor made the call that it couldn’t take place after he had completed his track inspection.

The club has apologised to fans for any inconvenience the call-off caused.

It means that Glasgow will wait until Tuesday to finally get their Premier League campaign under way when Sheffield – and the Sky Sports cameras – pay a visit.

The meeting starts at 7.30pm and fans will be able to buy tickets at the gate on the night. They can also be purchased in advance via the official website.
