All change at Ashfield

We have been making mention of a whole range of changes to the Ashfield experience for 2013.

Naturally some of these will be more / less visible than others, and some of these will be of more / less benefit to some supporters than others, however collectively we really believe that we are addressing all the right areas of the speedway operation and helping enhance your enjoyment and value for money.

Without wishing to unveil everything at once  – we want you to discover, and be surprised by, certain changes by experiencing them first hand – we thought we’d preview just a few things for your delectation!

Undoubtedly THE biggest facility improvement is in the form of the brand new bar and toilets which replace the former facility (now completely demolished!) on the 4th bend. An awful lot of planning, work (with particular thanks to Craig MacWilliam, Charlie Ross and Colin Caffrey for their expertise and dedication on our behalf) and expense has gone into establishing this particular facility for the exclusive use and benefit of speedway patrons, with further improvement work still to be applied in the coming weeks.

We have also refurbished the speedway snack bar, and invested in new catering equipment as a platform to refresh our overall food catering.

We will now be offering you a much wider variety of hot food, better suited to a variety of tastes and cravings! In addition to the 4th bend snack bar, we will also have an outlet on the first bend which will sell cold snacks (crisps, sweets) and drinks.

Still on the catering subject, we will have a mobile (usherette style) seller who will be able to bring hot food, snacks and drinks to you whether you are on the first bend, in the main stand or on the back straight!

Finally, and certainly not least, we have carefully looked at improving our meeting presentation itself. Some of you may now have seen the identity of our meeting host in the newspapers, however for those who haven’t, we won’t reveal who they are in order to maintain the mystery until Sunday.

A reminder that the gates will open at 1:30pm on Sunday (and that the clocks go forward this weekend), please do make a point of being in your viewing position nice and early on Sunday as you will NOT wish to miss out on the spectacular meeting presentation which will open the meeting! (not to mention arriving early enough to claim your FREE gift and/or Easter Egg!)

See you Sunday, well before 3pm!
