TEAM boss Cami Brown insists his side are “ready” for the big showdown with Scunthorpe.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers go to the Scorpions tonight for the first leg of the crunch semi-final.
Glasgow’s regulation league campaign ended on a high a week ago with a 10-point win over Scunthorpe to secure second place in the Cab Direct Championship.
Now Brown wants a repeat effort when they get to the Eddie Wright Raceway.
He said: “It’s fair to say that Scunthorpe have been the surprise team of the season in the Championship. They have been solid all through.
“They are especially good around their own track. Yet strangely enough I felt we threw away a great chance to win there in May.
“We were leading at the halfway stage and just two down with two races to go. That was despite Chris (Harris) having one of his worst ever meetings for us with three points.
“There’s no doubt we go there with belief and certainly no fear. Once again we will be relying on our guests to do a good job.
“Our performance on Friday to beat the Scorpions by 10 was our best for some time really, so that’s really encouraging.
“I feel that the entire team is ready for this. I believe we are in the best form we have been all season right now. This is when all the boys have got to deliver their best and go up a level.
“Sam (Hagon), Kevin (Juhl Pedersen) and Freddy (Hodder) are the key men for me.
“When they ride well, we win comfortably. When you add in just how good Leon (Flint) and Chris have been, we are a very good side.
“Sam and Kevin make such a difference when they contribute heavily. Sam had been suffering from a really horrible patch of form, so for him to pick up eight points was really pleasing.
“Freddy had a tough night last week but his fighting spirit recently has been excellent.
“Now we need all three of them to produce over the next two meetings. That will be pivotal for us.”
Tate Zischke and Anze Grmek come in as guests for Kyle Howarth and Mario Hausl.
Brown added: “Tate has been going so well lately and scored 12 for Belle Vue at Ipswich on Thursday night. If he can continue that form, we should be in good shape.”
