TEAM boss Cami Brown admitted it was “disappointing” to suffer a tough defeat at Redcar.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers lost 51-39 in the Cab Direct Championship at the ECCO Arena on Teesside last night (Friday).
Team boss Cami Brown was deflated with the manner of their second defeat in a week.
He added: “It was disappointing. We just didn’t really click as a unit tonight. It’s hard when you’ve got three guests instead of your own guys.
“It’s a frustrating result because I felt we could have at least got the aggregate bonus point.
“We are not firing on all cylinders at all. You cannot have passengers away from home, you won’t get results.
“There were positives. Chris Harris did his usual job while Anders Rowe and Kevin Juhl Pedersen were excellent. Reid Battye battled hard as did Freddy Hodder.
“All eyes now turn to making sure we get all three points from our last regular home meeting with Scunthorpe next Friday.”
Harris top scored with paid 11 points on his record-breaking 1,200th official appearance in British speedway, the highest of any rider since the sport started in the UK in 1929.
He said: “Getting out the starts tonight was important and it was disappointing the way the team was performing.
“The track was OK, it was a bit heavy. It was just about making starts because it was difficult when you were behind. The Redcar guys are fast and that makes it really hard work.
“We were busting our backsides to get the points back but it wasn’t enough on the night sadly. We were working hard on our set-ups. It was tough out there.”
