Sting in Scorpions’ tail for Tigers

GLASGOW came away without any points for the first time this season at Scunthorpe – as the Scorpions hit the Tigers late to take three points in the SGB Championship.

Cami Brown’s men got off to the perfect start with a 5-1 courtesy of Craig Cook and Justin Sedgmen.

The sides then drew level before trading blows as the meeting looked to be heading for a stalemate.

But the home team finished with three 5-1s to run out 51-39 winners and leave the away team wondering how they had managed to let a potential draw or win slip from their grasp for the second week running.

The result still leaves Glasgow top of the table on 17 points from seven matches, but Scunthorpe are five behind with two fewer fixtures completed.

They now face Eastbourne at home on Friday before a trip to Berwick the following night.
