TEAM boss Cami Brown wants the red and white army fans to turn Ashfield into a “cauldron”.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers take on Edinburgh in the last regular Cab Direct Championship fixture of the season tonight, 7.30pm.
If Brown’s side wrap up another win it will confirm them as taking top spot of the league, overtaking rivals Poole.
But the charasmatic boss is adamant that the fans can play their part for the huge clashes ahead.
He said: “We’ve got the best fans in speedway. At Armadale last week they turned up in their hundreds and our boys loved it.
“The fans can drive us on big time. If they can pack out Ashfield it can be a cauldron of noise.
“We will need that against the Monarchs and Poole in the KO Cup semi-final second leg next Sunday.
“Poole fans gave our boys so much verbal abuse last Wednesday. Now it’s our turn to make Ashfield a wall of noise with an electric atmosphere.”
Brown will be delighted if his side can finish top of the table by defeating the Monarchs.
He added: “The only thing that matters right now is beating the Monarchs. That would confirm us as finishing top of the Cab Direct Championship and pipping Poole.
“Finishing top is a nice feeling but in truth, it means very little.
“No one will remember that if we don’t go on and win the Grand Final in the play-offs. There are no trophies for finishing top of the league.
“We had a great win at Armadale. The boys were excellent to pick up that victory and that’s for the huge travelling support of Tigers fans. That’s the win they love the most.
“But we had a big wake up call at Workington. We simply weren’t good enough.
“Now is the time for us to find out what this Tigers team of 2025 is made of.
“Any side that can win six out of eight meetings in a regular league season is definitely capable of going all the way to the title.
“That is a sensational record and I’m very proud of what has been achieved so far.
“Especially when you consider that we were under-strength in a lot of those meetings.
“But it’s going to be all about how we perform on the big nights. There are massive acid tests ahead against the Pirates who are so good at delivering when it matters.
“There are definitely encouraging signs that we are hitting the right sort of form.
“It will also be vital to have Villads (Nagel) back in the side tonight. We’ve missed him being part of the squad in so many ways.
“Dayle Wood guests for Max Perry again after producing such a battling performance at Poole.
“It’s a Red and White Night at Ashfield for the fans to wear their Tigers colours. Let’s finish the regular league season in style.”
