TIGERS No.2 Ashton Boughen will miss the clashes with Oxford and Poole with a shoulder injury.
The Great Britain prospect pulled out of his last meeting at King’s Lynn on Monday night after picking up the knock.
Boughen, 17, will be replaced by guests this week. Luke Harrison comes in at Oxford on Wednesday night while Justin Sedgmen replaces broken scaphoid-hit Dan Thompson.
It’s been a difficult start to the campaign for Boughen after he sustained a hip injury early in the season, also at King’s Lynn.
His last outing for the Allied Vehicles Tigers at Edinburgh on Friday ended with a pointless display and he also didn’t appear for his final race in Heat 11.
Team boss Cami Brown admitted: “It’s been a tough time for Ashton. The early season crash certainly didn’t help him.
“But he has shown signs of his old self. He rode well at Edinburgh in the BSN meeting and then at Scunthorpe.
“However he was completely off the pace at Armadale on Friday.
“Then there was confusion on his appearance before Heat 11. We ended up going with only Chris (Harris) in the race because the referee told me I couldn’t replace Ashton. That was very frustrating.”
Brown believes he has the side that can still do a job at Cowley.
He added: “We know that Justin is a solid scorer wherever he goes. Luke has also been flying for Scunthorpe.
“It’s never ideal to go anywhere with guests. But injuries are part and parcel of the sport and we have to deal with adversity.
“As usual we will go there and give it everything. It hasn’t been the easiest of venues for us as a team. But we did win the Pairs there in 2023. I’m confident we can get the result we want.”
