TIGERS GO DOWN AT ARMADALE

TEAM boss Cami Brown admitted he was “hugely disappointed” as his side missed out on the Scottish Cup.

The Allied Vehicles Tigers went down by 47-42 to Edinburgh at Armadale last night (Friday).

It meant the Monarchs regained the trophy with a 95-84 victory on aggregate.

Brown said: “Armadale is a really hard place to go at the best of times but the conditions were tricky in the wet.

“We started slowly and the Monarchs took control but we fought back really well and were only one point down on the night with two races to go.

“It was the story of our season really, too many passengers once again at the big moments. I’m hugely disappointed to end the season in that manner.

“Our guests did a great job for us again, Nick Morris was outstanding. He has only dropped one point for us in 10 races at Armadale on the two occasions he has guested for us.

“Naturally we really wanted to turn the score around and win the Scottish Cup for our fans, to finish the season strongly.

“It wasn’t to be but full credit to our wonderful supporters for giving us great backing all season.”

Brown is also determined to bring success to Ashfield in 2027.

He added: “The club is in great hands with Gerry and Peter Facenna.

“Everyone at Glasgow wants to produce a successful team while also providing the best possible entertainment. That’s the DNA of this club, we want it to be exciting to watch every single week for the fans.

“I think we definitely manage to deliver that. More silverware would be the icing on the cake that we strive for and will continue to.

“But the main thing I’d like to do is thank the fans. The support we get is incredible.”
