TIGERS boss Cami Brown hailed “Super” Mario Hausl after his side went top of the Cab Direct Championship.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers picked up their second away win four days with a 51-39 victory at Workington.
It was a powerhouse all-round display but Brown singled out young German Hausl as the hero with paid nine points at reserve.
Brown said: “Mario really was super and he has delivered two fantastic performances this week. He got paid eight at Oxford and then paid nine here at Workington. He was outstanding in both meetings.
“People forget he’s only 19 but he’s starting to find his feet and is now doing a great job for us.
“But it was another proper team performance. Our boys won the first seven races and really suffocated Workington, we didn’t give them a sniff.
“Sam (Hagon) was also fabulous, winning his two opening races. Our top three all did their jobs and special mention for Leon (Flint) as he top scored with 11, dropping just one point.
“Leon has been a tower of strength recently. He looks so polished and has developed into a top class scorer.
“Chris (Harris) played the perfect team role while Kyle Howarth reeled off three wins. Freddy (Hodder) had a tougher day with bike issues, but still battled until the end.
“It’s great to go top of the league. Obviously the teams around us have had less meetings, so it will balance out in time.
“But a week ago I said I felt we were a whisker away from getting the results we needed and we’ve got ourselves into a strong position. Now we’ve just got to keep this run going.”
