Battered, bruised and bent!

It is fair to say that this opening weekend of the season has been a tough one for the Glasgow riders.

Desperate to get under way at long last on Friday night at Edinburgh, rather battle weary after defeating Berwick on Ashfield’s opening day!

We have the skipper Joe Screen hobbling around having injured his right foot (which got caught in Claus Vissing’s rear wheel) at Edinburgh.

We have James Grieves also hobbling around following a racing clash yesterday.

We have poor Harley Horwood in a lot of discomfort, having hurt his lower back in a crash at Berwick on Saturday night.

We have Joe Jacobs who had to miss out on a ride on Sunday having strained himself mid meeting and required some physio in the pits.

We have Joey Ringwood feeling a little second hand having fallen a couple of times this weekend, however feeling even worse having blown his 2 engines in the meeting’s at Edinburgh and Berwick.

Henning and James Wright have had their own issues, and their own moments, over this first weekend – however appear to be the last men standing!

So bent bikes apart, the lads all have a week to mend and feel a whole lot better, just in time to face our old rivals from the East, so it certainly doesn’t get any easier.

3 meetings down ….
