GLASGOW boss Cami Brown hailed new signing Vadim Tarasenko after a vital win over Oxford.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers beat the Cheetahs 51-39 in the Cab Direct Championship at Ashfield last night (Friday).
The result meant that Poole topped the league table with Oxford second and the Pirates now have choice of opponents in the Play-Off groups.
But the home fans were left raving about Tarasenko after he only dropped one point to an opponent in a stunning debut.
Brown said: “It was a fabulous win over a very tough Oxford team. All the boys really delivered when it mattered.
“But naturally everyone is going to be talking about Vadim. It was possibly one of the best debuts we’ve seen at Ashfield.
“Hopefully that continues through the Play-Offs and he can push us to where we want to be.
“But we’ve seen tonight that Oxford are super-strong as are Poole, Redcar and we can’t discount the other two teams. It’s going to be a very hard end to the season.
“I was also really delighted with the performances of all the team. They all produced top draw races when we needed them to.
“Lee Complin came up with vital points as did Ace Pijper and Tom Brennan looked back to his old self.
“It’s a massive win for the club and now we go to Redcar on Sunday in a very positive frame of mind.”
