CAMI Brown has urged his Glasgow side to pick up points on the road to make up for the “disappointment” of drawing at home to Poole.
The sides raced out a 45-all draw at Ashfield on Friday as two of the title favourites went head-to-head.
The Tigers fought back late in the meeting to overturn a six-point deficit and ensure they took a point from the tie – while the Pirates took two.
The result keeps Glasgow second in the SGB Championship, three points behind Leicester with two meetings in hand.
They now face Berwick away next Saturday in the push for the play-offs.
Brown said: “We are disappointed. At one point we had a chance to take all three points.
“We made a few mistakes. We got passed on the line a couple of times. It’s not like us.
“The track was different from the start of the meeting towards the end and Poole got control of the conditions a bit quicker than us.
“When the track settled down I thought we were a bit better but then Poole got two 5-1s and everyone in the stadium would have bitten your hand off for a draw then, so we did well to come back.
“Poole are a very good team and some of our riders were a bit below par. But it’s a long season and at least we didn’t lose. We just need to pick up some away points now to make up for that.”
