TEAM boss Cami Brown admitted he was “over the moon” with a late dramatic Super Heat win at Edinburgh.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers snatched the aggregate bonus point after the clash ended in a 45-45 draw in the Cab Direct Championship at Armadale on Friday night.
It came just seven days after the sides had ended all square at Ashfield. So it went to the Super Heat to decide the extra point. Nick Morris and Chris Harris teamed up for a second maximum heat win on the bounce to grab the glory.
Brown said: “That’s a fantastic win from the boys and I’m over the moon for the fans.
“It’s been a challenging couple of weeks for the club but nights like this make it all worthwhile.
“To be six down with two races to go a week ago and six down with one corner to go of Heat 14 at Armadale and still come away with a couple of points is incredible.
“We’ve been unlucky with guests recently but for Nick to get a maximum is phenomenal. That was possibly the most complete performance you could ask for. We can only thank him for his commitment.
“Likewise Reid Battye was excellent on his debut at Armadale. Both Reid and Nick made themselves part of the team and that made a big difference.
“There were other terrific performances. Chris Harris was typically outstanding. He made some fabulous passes and was brilliant in the big races.
“Special mention to Kevin Juhl Pedersen. We were a corner from losing the meeting in Heat 14 but he never gave it up and got the win on the line that kept us in it.
“It’s a great couple of points to win on the road. It’s always a special feeling to walk over to the huge contingent of Tigers fans on the third bend and celebrate with them. That’s always a great moment.
“Those two points give us a bit more breathing space in the top four. We just need to stay there now.
“Our home meeting with Redcar next Friday at Ashfield is a huge must-win.”
