TIGERS SNAP UP ROWE

TIGERS have snapped up Anders Rowe on a 28-day deal to replace Steve Worrall.

The former National League Riders’ Champion has already appeared as a guest three times for the Allied Vehicles Tigers.

But now he comes into the team full-time with Worrall still struggling to shake off the effects of Labyrinthitis.

Team boss Cami Brown said: “We have spoken to Steve at regular intervals as he continues to try and recover from the illness.

“We have moved to sign Anders with Steve’s knowledge and blessing.

“Anders has been really impressive already for us. He was excellent in our home meeting with Poole and also at Edinburgh and Plymouth.

“He’s maturing into a really top class rider. We’ve watched him ride for Torun as well in the Ekstraliga and he’s been great for them.

“We’ve obviously got some huge meetings coming up now if we are to reach the play-offs. It’s a big ask but we will give it everything as a team.

“It really has been so difficult to plug the gaps this season. But we are in there and we’ll keep fighting.”

Tigers next face Edinburgh in the Cab Direct Championship at Ashfield on Wednesday night (August 14).
