Tigers snap up British U21 Champion Tom Brennan

GLASGOW Tigers have confirmed the signing of British Under-21 Champion Tom Brennan.

The 20-year-old was freed by Eastbourne after they pulled out of the SGB Championship earlier this week.

The Tigers have moved to snap up the Swindon-born racer for the rest of the 2021 season in place of Ulrich Ostergaard, who is sitting out the rest of the campaign through injury.

The signing is subject to BSPL approval.

Brennan, who scored nine points in the Grand Prix qualifier at Ashfield earlier this season – including a win over 2012 World Champion Chris Holder – said: “It’s an exceptional offer to join Glasgow – it’s amazing.

“I think you only have to have one look around the stadium to see how far Glasgow have come.

“What they’ve done in a short amount of time has been very good. The club have looked after me really well and I’m more than excited to begin this journey with them.

“The atmosphere here is amazing and the support you get is great. Hopefully I can work towards a long future with them.”
