THIS is the sensational new look of the Tigers as the club prepares to defend the Cab Direct Championship title in 2024.
With just 45 days to go until the start of the season, it’s the first showing of the new racesuit and bespoke bike covers.
It was designed by Allied Vehicles Tigers’ fan Magdalena Rega after winning the vote of the management for the latest kevlars look.
There is also a poignant logo on the top lapel to pay tribute to Glasgow Tigers Supporters’ Group committee member Alyx Hallyburton who so sadly passed away after a long fight with cancer last November.
Club co-owner Peter Facenna said: “It’s a really fresh new appearance for the riders.
“We loved the design from Magdalena combining our team and country colours. There are subtle twists with extra stars and stripes.
“Naturally we also have four gold stars on the collar to depict our league title wins, that was a nice inclusion for us to have to make.
“It was also important for the club to pay tribute to Alyx. It means a lot to us all that she will be a permanent part of the suit as we defend the league title.
“Alyx played a valuable role at the club and watched her last Tigers meeting as we won the home leg of the Championship Grand Final against Poole. Alyx remains very much part of our thoughts.”
The Tigers will make their first appearance as champions at Edinburgh on April 5 in the BSN Series.
Designer Magdalena and her family came over from Poland to watch Glasgow at Ashfield Stadium last season and will be presented with a replica during the season.
Magdalena said: “The news you’ve shared is already amazing for me. I had a pleasure to see tremendous speedway (one of the best I saw live) at your stadium last season, so let’s say that’s my thanks for that experience. Good luck this year!”
