GLASGOW boss Cami Brown knows that Edinburgh will be “gunning” for revenge.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers face the Monarchs at Armadale tomorrow night (Friday) for a crucial BSN Series clash.
It’s just three weeks since Brown’s side took a 47-43 win in the Scottish Cup and he believes their local rivals will be extra fired-up to get the victory.
He said: “The Monarchs will be gunning for us, make no mistake. You never want to lose at home to your biggest rivals.
“That will have hurt them and losing the Scottish Cup. They will feel better that they won at Ashfield.
“But there’s not much between the sides at all. We both have different strengths so it makes it very interesting.
“In my mind I feel that people might have underestimated Edinburgh. Their new boys are quality and with Victor Palovaara at reserve, they will always have the firepower to give anyone a match.
“However we are looking forward to being back at Armadale. We’ll have a massive travelling support on the third bend and we will go for another win for our fans.”
The Allied Vehicles Tigers are in a strong position in the BSN group having won at Berwick last Saturday.
But Brown knows work has still to be done, adding: “It was a vital win at Berwick but the picture can change quickly. We need to win at Edinburgh to put us in pole position.
“The biggest frustration has been a lack of home fixtures. Our next meeting at Ashfield is now May 4 against Berwick.
“Having got to that stage having had only one meeting at home is tough. The boys need bike time on their home track.
“But we will push on and do everything we can to get a result at Armadale.”
