GLASGOW boss Cami Brown has vowed “it’s not over yet” after a 12-point defeat at Poole.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers lost 51-39 in the Cab Direct Championship Grand Final in Dorset on Wednesday night.
Brown is adamant his side can turn the deficit around at Ashfield in the second leg on Friday night.
He said: “The boys battled brilliantly all night to keep the scores close.
“I cannot fault any of them for fighting for every point and that will be vital in the final outcome.
“There’s a bit of a feeling here now with Poole that they have won it. Well it’s not over yet, that’s for sure.
“We have a full strength side for the second leg and we can really deliver at Ashfield.
“They boys will be up for it and I truly believe that we can overturn the 12-point deficit and make it a night to remember in Glasgow.
“Our fans came down here to Dorset for a Wednesday night and credit to them. We will be ready for Friday.”
On a track not conducive to good racing, starting was imperative.
After a tight opening, Leon Flint and Dan Thompson scored a vital 5-1 in Heat 7 to narrow the deficit to just two points.
Poole then picked up three successive heat advantages to go 10 clear.
But once again two crucial 4-2s in Heats 12 and 13 hauled Tigers closer again, trailing by six. However a final heat 5-1 gave the home their biggest advantage of the night.
