TEAM boss Cami Brown admitted he was “ecstatic” with his side’s best win of the season.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers smashed Edinburgh 58-32 to reach the semi-finals of the MAXICab KO Cup at Ashfield on Wednesday night.
Brown’s side went through by 18 points on aggregate after a powerhouse start to the second leg.
The home side led by 15-3 after three heats and were in total control thereafter.
He said: “We hit them hard and early bringing back the eight-point deficit from the first leg in the opening two heats.
“It was then a case of keeping up the pressure and the boys were magnificent. I’m ecstatic with our best display of the season.
“Villads (Nagel) produced a couple of epic rides to come from the back and he was outstanding yet again.
“But everyone played their part. Freddy (Hodder) again battled for everything and I can’t fault anyone at all. Max (Perry) was also excellent. Our middle order pairing of Leon (Flint) and Dan (Thompson) are rock solid.
“A special mention for Chris Harris who delivered another incredible performance with a full maximum. It was his 100th appearance for the club and it underlined just what a brilliant servant he has been for us.
“We are all dedicating this win to Kyle Howarth. He couldn’t ride for us due to family issues and we are all thinking of him. That victory is for him and his family.
“I must also say that the track staff did an amazing job to get the circuit in perfect shape for our boys. That was crucial.”
“Now we can focus on another big fixture at Ashfield on Saturday against Oxford.”
